Hi everyone,
sorry I couldn't make it today... Thanks for the proposal, looks really good!
Only one thing: the time of activities cannot be between 15 and 17 hrs CET - those are reserved for the plenary panels proposed by the WSF facilitating committee.
So it must be either before or after...
As for the title, I'd be more for something like: YOUTH AND SSE: LET'S TRANSFORM THE ECONOMY! (or change, etc... or "WE WANT ECONOMIC JUSTICE!")
ciao!

Hello,
Thank you, Jason.
In my opinion, it can be scheduled for 17CET. What do you think?

Hi everyone,
Apologies for missing yesterday's meeting.
I like the proposal: thanks for the good job done! Anyway, I still need to keep up with some parts to have the overall view of the initiative.
In the meanwhile, two quick questions:
1. will the participants be pre-selected or we won't know the composition and the size of the audience?
2. I haven't understood yet what output are you willing to achieve. I mean, the idea is to have the youth "only" proposing ideas for action (in this case, to whom?) or the actions proposed will be actually put in place (in this case, what is the institutional framework of action?)
Regarding the title, I like Jason's proposals! I allow myself to add an option, in case it might be helpful: "Youth and SSE | Setting the trends in Activism for the Economic Transition" or "Youth and SEE | Economic Activism for a Just Transition". I think it should be clear in the title the connection with the main topic, which is activism, if we want to attract a relevant audience (even though the title gets a little bit more formal and less catchy)
I agree on scheduling the session at 17h CET, I would not be able to attend the session if it will be in the morning!
See you on Tuesday,
Francesco

Hi!
Thank you all for your feedbacks :). I agree for the date: 27th of January at 17:00 h CET.
Firstly, and in relation to Francesco's questions:
The idea is that each of us send invitations (previously written by all) to contacts that we believe may be interested in participating. We have created a zoom link in which it is necessary to register to participate. With this, we will know in advance how many participants –more or less– will attend the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAuc-CupzMqHtPDH8fsqBLmaRvPrYOrD8VV
Of course, we have to define this point together. I think we can discuss it at the meeting tomorrow. However, for me the objective of the meeting is: 1. to reach more people who might be interested in participating in our group. 2. to listen to proposals of actions that could be interesting to develop a KA2/KA3 project.
I love the tittle: Youth and SSE | Setting the trends in Activism for the Economic Transition
What do you think?
If we agree, I can register the activity today (We can change the main description later).
Abraccio!,
Andrea.

Hello everyone,
Today we held a new meeting on this topic.
Main decisions:
Not having speakers;
Since we are going to take advantage of this session to invite young people to join our group, the idea is to present the group and have a conceptual introduction and then we start the working groups using the World Cafe methodology.
Follow-up: i) organise the collected information in a document and send to everyone present in the session inviting them to join an internal meeting; ii) divide the people who we will attend the internal meeting into groups to organise the information ans structure ideas; iii) design a project.
We wil start disseminating the session among our contacts and networks using the paragraph written in the Programme document (we will add a flyer later).

Francesco, Sofia and Andrea, please feel free to share your comments.

Great work! Looking forward to it!

Hello everyone!
Today, Sofia, Andrea and I had a very enlightened meeting (ahah) on the possibility of an open session during the WSF.
Our proposal is as follows (all of this is open to debate and discussion, of course):
The main idea is to follow the energy of the confluences and the proposal is to focus the session on activism. We would like to invite young activits on some SSE thematic to share their experience and then develop a concrete work in two different groups. Each group will try to present actions to promote the youth involvement on i) advocacy and ii) networkig (or capacity-building). The idea is that all participants have the opportunity to participate in both discussions, but building their proposals from the conclusions of the previous group (World Cafe methodology).
As we have a very short time to prepare all of this, we defined this as our plan A. The plan B, if we were not able to confirm the speakers, is to organise the working groups with the participants; and the plan C, if we do not have neither speakers nor a reasonable number of participants, is to hold an internal meeting focused on concrete actions to start a project.
In this sense, we will disseminate the event (at least for now) as a discussion of the RIPESS working group in the WSF open to all who want to join us, in assembly format.
All supporting documents are here: https://bit.ly/3surkZC
Please pay special attention to:
Tasks;
Title of the session (it is very important to have your feedback on this today);
Presentation paragraph.
Next meeting (on 19/01) we will focus mainly on the working groups methodologies and implementation (and we hope to have some replies from the activits).
Sofia and Andrea, please feel free to add your comments.
Let us know your thoughts.
Cheers,
