TownHall meeting: Where & When
Where could we organise the TownHall ?
When and how long ?
Q. Wed 30 Jan 2019 9:40AM
Hello,
A Sunday from 12:00 until 19:00 sounds like a good idea to me.
I propose to choose a date, even though we don't have any place for the moment (but it can be hosted by a burner).
For the agenda, So already created a thread about this. :)

4 of 10 people have participated (40%)
So Wed 30 Jan 2019 11:00AM
My personal opinion is that the most efficient way of killing time yet devised by humanity is the unnecessary or prolonged meeting. Most efficient meetings hold a define number of topics (discussing 10 topics make none of them important or a priority) and a maximum time of attention per meeting or even subject (who the fuck stays focused 7h anyway ?) but this is my opinion (also how other townhalls work ...). Maybe this could also be added in the option : 4h max or a whole afternoon ? If objective is still to maximise participation maybe we shouldn't put a threshold at having a whole day to spend on this ;)
Q. Thu 31 Jan 2019 10:18AM
To answer on the length of the meeting:
- It is a first proposal, we can still change the start and end hours (and any option can be added in the poll by any participant :) )
- We agree, short meetings are always more efficient
- In the proposal i've taken the time to welcome people, the breaks between the topics, ... into account
- It's a personal willing, but I'd like also to give the opportunity to the participants to bring some topics during the Town Hall itself
- Depending on the number of participants, we could also think about some discussions in parallel following the interest of everyone
My answers is based on my experience with Open Space Event
I've change the description of the poll to not block the time of the event. Then the poll only focus on the day.
So Wed 30 Jan 2019 11:08AM
At the moment we have 8 members in this group .. Can I suggest to send an invite through the emailing list (before the deadline of the poll) to bring more people's attention to the townhall and make the poll more significant ? <3
Q. Thu 31 Jan 2019 10:20AM
Yes, it's a good idea to spread the information about the existence of this poll. Such that everyone who would like to give their opinion will have the opportunity to do so!

Due to an issue to share the poll without asking a login, I had to create a new poll.

It's actually possible to add another dates but not to suggest an option for a shorter meeting. I still feel strongly that having to commit to a 7h-day long townhall instead of cutting in into several/monthly shorter gatherings addressing less points each time is a stop to many people - even if you write still to be discussed. The world wasn't made in one day : why do we suddenly want to run before we learned to walk ?
So Fri 1 Feb 2019 11:06AM
Vacances de carnaval ou congés de détente Lundi 4 Mars - vendredi 8 Mars
Vacances de pacques ou de printemps Lundi 8 avril - Lundi 22 Avril

First opinion:
Somewhere in March seems the good compromise to give us time to set things up in motion, without being too far away. I think a full afternoon (12.00 - 19.00) would be the strict minimum in order to discuss all the hot topics. Of course, an accurate agenda would be a must, to allow people to participate in the debates / workshop they're the most interested in.
And at last, as it's already be mentionned on FB, organizing it on a week-end (ideally a sunday IMO) would be the best way to maximize participation.
What do you think ?
