Thank you very much for your comment Francesco, it was very useful for the meeting with the ethical finance foundation :)

Finally, we met with them yesterday Sofia and I, they found the project very interesting, and they are interested in participate. I think they have a lot of specific knowledge about ethical finances and are a very strategic partner for our project. They will also try to involve FEBEA members from other countries. We will let you know shortly how this evolves. Also tell you that, from what they said yesterday, there are already a few Erasmus projects of ethical finance, so maybe we should give it a twist and put a more original and innovative touch in the activities.

On the other hand, making a recapitulation of what we have, and possible partners:

It will be a very informal meeting just to explain them the project and take some ideas. The alliance with La Campaña by the moment is informal and strategic in order to make advocacy as I understood...

Hi Andrea,

Apologies for such a late answer (I am enjoying some vacations in Italy!)

I think you did not miss much. If I got it right (please, correct me if I am wrong or imprecise), we decided to focus on activism, which means that schools and professors are no longer our targets (too complex, it would require a huge effort to be sustainable in time). Instead, we want to focus on young people and youth leaders raising awareness on Ethical Finance: only raising awareness on what it is, which are the different challenges that finance is facing and how to act on that, it would be a relevant objective.

Then, the ambition is to create an international movement...which means that in terms of partners we should try to involve some communication/design company (infographics, animated videos..) and foresee a wise use of social media. Communication-for-good style.

Just sharing a thought with you: I feel like that advocacy could level up activism. It gives structure, helping to see the big picture and highlighting the links between different activism causes, and it helps with legitimacy/recognition toward the relevant places of decision-making. Finally, talking about FIARE, I fear we are not prepared enough to ask proper questions. Anyway, being just a phone chat, it could be interesting to have their opinion on our idea (trying to promote economic activism beyond European Latin countries) and try to understand with them what are the different levels of action that can be taken: raising awareness, consumer choices, brand activism, ethical banking, ...proposing also if they foresee any possible path towards a way (more accessible and attractive for youth than ethical banking) for connecting young people's money (savings) to local development projects within their territory. The "original" questions I think should be: how to connect economic empowerment to political empowerment among youth?
(For sure Sofia FETS has way more clear ideas on this! If you manage to talk to her first, it would be useful for sure)

Maybe it would require more than a phone call 😅 ..still, the phone call might spark their interest in knowing more. A nice way to understand their potential interest could be to ask them if they have a strategy for youth as a target group and, if not, why such choice (it is not useful for them? is it about governance issues? do they lack the proper channels and tools to reach young people? ...)

How are you?

As you know, in our last meeting, Romina from Economistas Sin Fronteras shared with us the contact of a girl from Fiare to meet with her to clarify doubts and learn more about ethical finance.

That is why, we propose to have an internal meeting first among us to better clarify the activities of the project that we want to develop, think about how we want to orient the meeting with Fiare to get the most out of it, etc.

So, I open a time poll to schedule both meetings.
