Hi! My name is Lori. I live in the U.S. in the Pacific Northwest - Washington state - in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Nearly 20 years ago, my teenage daughter asked me to take her to hear Marshall Rosenberg speak about nonviolent communication. I'd never heard of the guy, or of NVC, but had a big interest in communication methods and was always looking for a better way than what I learned growing up. That was the start for me of practicing, learning, and teaching compassionate communication.
