What can SSE in your country share/teach the rest of the world?

One of the reasons why intercontinental exchanges on SSE haven't been active enough is that people aren't aware of what can be acquired from other cultures. So it would be interesting if you could tell the others what can be learned from SSE practices in your country...

Example: Here in Spain I can tell you the following:

  1. Impressive growth of the Mondragon Group in the Basque Country: sometimes they're criticised to be too big to keep their original co-operative principles, but we have to admit they're the world's largest co-operative group, with some 14 billion € annual turnover.

  2. Solid solidarity economy networks: especially in Basque Country and Catalonia. Watch my documentary in English on Barcelona for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjTccAF7qZw

  3. Development of the concept of Social Market: as a way to look for products / services which comply with certain SSE criteria: https://www.mercadosocial.net/ (in Spanish)

  4. Development of ethical banks: FETS is the national network of such entities. Famous experiences include Triodos, Fiare and Coop 57.
