Next Steps After the GA Villarceaux - Creating the report together

Good morning to all,

We are preparing the report of the General Assembly. We want to compile the information from each of the working groups and clarify what basic points we want to include in the report.

We would like your imputs from the activity at Villarceaux.

This is the general description we have of your group –from the info pack–: The issue of social impact assessment has taken on an incredible scale in recent years, throughout Europe and particularly with the development of impact funding. But it is important to realise that this is a very political issue and that the way of understanding it is not without consequences for SSE as a whole. RIPESS Europe therefore wanted to start working on this subject in order to forge a common culture among its members. The approach is based on the exchange of practices, the understanding of the different approaches and approaches initiated in Europe and the construction ofa political advocacy.

This are the bullet points:

•  Sharing tools between all the mermbers (SSE Ecosystems)

• To investigate which is the State of the art (SSE Ecosystems)

• Create an Erasmus+ project about SI -- argumentation, advocacy (SSE Recognition)

• Prospects for support in the creation of companies, initiatives, collective entrepreneurship (SSE Movement).

Nous sommes en train de préparer le rapport de l'Assemblée Générale. Nous voulons compiler les informations de chacun des groupes de travail et clarifier les points fondamentaux que nous voulons inclure dans le rapport.

Nous aimerions avoir vos impressions sur l'activité de Villarceaux.

Voici la description générale que nous avons de votre groupe - à partir du dossier d'information- : La question de l'évaluation de l'impact social a pris une ampleur incroyable ces dernières années, partout en Europe et notamment avec le développement des financements d'impact. Mais il faut savoir qu'il s'agit d'une question très politique et que la manière de l'appréhender n'est pas sans conséquence pour l'ESS dans son ensemble. Le RIPESS Europe a donc souhaité commencer à travailler sur ce sujet afin de forger une culture commune entre ses membres. La démarche est basée sur l'échange de pratiques, la compréhension des différentes approches et démarches initiées en Europe et la construction d'un plaidoyer politique.

En voici les grandes lignes :

•  Partage d'outils entre tous les membres (Ecosystèmes de l'ESS)

• Rechercher quel est l'état de l'art (Ecosystèmes ESS)

• Créer un projet Erasmus+ sur l'IS -- argumentation, plaidoyer (SSE Recognition)

• Perspectives de soutien à la création d'entreprises, d'initiatives, d'entrepreneuriat collectif (Mouvement ESS).

Hi, here is Gunther from TechNet Berlin. Unable to participate at the social impact workshop at the GA, I would like to share experiences on this issue. We work now for 15 years with the Social Accounting and Auditing tool, as accredited members of the Social Audit Network Ltd. We see a lot of convergence with the other approaches in Commonwealth States, Italy, Spain and elsewhere. The most important issues are: if the accounting and balancing is based on monetary indicators or not, and accordingly, for which stakeholders the impact measuring is used.
